Frequently Asked Questions

Is this position really remote? Can I work from anywhere?

Yes, 100% remote. Work from home, a café, or while traveling. We have team members across 40+ countries. The only requirement is reliable internet and overlapping hours for occasional meetings (we're flexible on time zones).

What's the difference between full-time, part-time, and internship?

Full-time: 35-40 hours/week, full benefits, higher salary range ($3K-5K/month depending on role and experience).
Part-time: 15-25 hours/week, flexible schedule, pro-rated compensation ($1.5K-3K/month).
Internship: 10-20 hours/week, 3-6 month commitment, lower pay ($800-1.5K/month) but heavy mentorship and learning opportunities. Can convert to full-time.

I'm a student/career changer with no professional experience. Can I still apply?

Absolutely! We value skills and passion over traditional credentials. If you've grown a personal blog, managed your own social media with engagement, or built an online community, that counts. Apply for the internship or part-time track and showcase your projects in the portfolio section.

What tools/software will I need to use?

SEO/AEO: Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush (we provide license), Notion.
Social Media: LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Reddit, Canva or Figma, Buffer/Hootsuite, CapCut or Premiere.
Community: Discord, Slack, Notion, Zoom, Calendly, Google Workspace.
We provide licenses for paid tools. If you need something specific, we'll consider it.

How does compensation work for remote international roles?

We pay in USD via international transfer (PayPal, Wise, Payoneer, or bank transfer). Salary ranges account for cost-of-living differences—we use a location multiplier (0.7x-1.2x) based on your country. For example, $3K/month role might be $2.1K in lower-cost countries or $3.6K in high-cost cities. We're transparent about this in the offer stage.

What's the company culture like at X-Pilot?

Mission-driven: We genuinely care about democratizing education.
Async-first: Written communication (Notion docs) > meetings. We respect your time.
Ownership culture: You own your domain (SEO, social, community). We trust you to make decisions.
Learning-focused: Mistakes are learning opportunities. We encourage experimentation.
Small team: Currently 8 people. You'll work directly with founders, not layers of management.

Do you sponsor visas or offer relocation?

Currently no, since all roles are remote. You'll work from your current location as an independent contractor. If you're already authorized to work in your country, you're good to go. We may consider visa sponsorship for exceptional full-time hires in the future (2027+).

I have more questions. How can I reach out?

Email us at [email protected] with subject "Question: [Your Question]". We typically respond within 2 business days. For general company info, visit our About page.
